Mangaluru: Sullia, Kadaba taluks register good rainfall

Mangaluru, Apr 26: Most places in Sullia and Kadaba taluks recorded good rainfall coupled with lightning on the night of Sunday April 25. A few places in Bantwal and Puttur taluks received rain.

Over an hour of heavy rain was experienced in places like Bellare, Enmoor, Guthigar and Peruvaje. In addition to thunder and lightning, strong wind swept these places. Kadaba, Nellyadi, Subrahmanya and surrounding places got rainfall for about half an hour. Because of strong wind which accompanied the rain, people faced problems. Power supply was disrupted at many places due to wind.

Jakribettu, Manihalla and Bantwal in Bantwal taluk got some rainfall. Other parts of the district had cloudy weather. Udupi district too had sunny weather with overcast clouds.

The meteorological department has predicted that many places in the state are likely to get thunderstorms. South interior parts of the state may get rainfall of more intensity, it said, adding that in all likelihood, this climate will continue to be like this during the remaining days of the week.

    Nature is great.All efforts to replenish oxygen in hospitals unsuccessful, but in the air we breathe oxygen is maintained at a constant level by nature inspite of misuse by humans, deforestation etc etc.. Japanese call it "Satoyama" learn to live in harmony with nature.
