Bantwal: Police arrest drug peddler - Seize 2 kg ganja, car

Bantwal, Apr 7: Vittal PSI Vinod S K and staff on guidance and directions of their senior police officials arrested a drug peddler with 2 kg ganja worth Rs 20,000 in an Alto car. The drugs worth Rs 20,000 and the car worth Rs 2 lac have been confiscated by the police.

The arrest was made at Kodangai, Vittal-Padoor village, Bantwal at about 7.30 pm on Tuesday, April 6. The arrested has been identified as Manjeshwar taluk, Kaje resident Nasir. He has been remanded to judicial custody.

Two other accused, Bakrabail resident Bariq and Patur resident Mustafa are on the run.

Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj has launched investigation into the matter.
