Goa’s active coronavirus cases cross 2,000 mark on Sunday, 265 new infections

Panaji, Apr 4: Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 265 and reached 59,068 on Sunday, a health department official said.

The death toll mounted to 835 as one of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 56,156 with 167 of them getting discharged on Sunday. The number of active cases is now 2,077, the official said.

"With 2,057 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 5,53,411," he added.
