Udupi, Mar 26: As far as utilization of MLAs local area development grants is concerned, Hassan, Udupi, and Chikkamagaluru districts occupy the top three places in that order, said minister K C Narayana Gowda. He gave this information during the progress review meeting he held via video conference with deputy commissioners of different districts at Vikasa Soudha on Thursday March 25.

The minister congratulates the deputy commissioners of these three districts for their good work and added that the top three deputy commissioners will be congratulated. He said that deputy commissioners doing good work will be honoured at Vidhana Soudha.

Gowda said that Hassan district has utilised 68 percent of the grants while Udupi is in second place with 63 percent utilisation. Chikkamagaluru has used 61 percent grants. He stated that the deputy commissioners of districts doing excellent work till year end will be congratulated at a function at Bengaluru.
