Kundapur, Mar 20: Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty warned that he will start staying in the taluk office if the issuing of title deeds, RTC etc concerning the ordinary people are not set right. He was speaking after presiding over a trimonthly KDP meeting held at Kundapur taluk panchayat auditorium on March 20. People are waiting for title deeds for the last sixty years. Realise the pain of the people, he said.
Confronting medical officials of taluk hospital he asked why doesn’t the taluk hospital function properly while Kundapur taluk primary health centres are working in a disciplined manner. District panchayat member Rohith Kumar Shetty asked if the ban on media in taluk hospital is justifiable.
The officer of the department of geology said that sand mining has begun in Kundapur. It is made available by online booking. It will cost Rs 6,500 for two and a half unit sweetwater sand, he said.
District panchayat member Babu Shetty said that it is decided to supply local boiled rice to ration card holders. Srilatha Suresh Shetty complained that no objection letter from gram panchayat is being asked for household electricity connection. The MLA said that the letter is not required.
