Mangalore, Jul 17: The 48th Town Official Language Implementation Committee [TOLIC] meeting was held at the corporate office of Corporation Bank on Friday July 16.
The meeting was chaired by Narendra Singh, executive director, Corporation Bank. K Rama Murthy, general manager, Corporation Bank welcomed the gathering and said, "Mangalore TOLIC has attracted attention because of its innovative way of functioning which has helped the committee to repeatedly bag the prestigious Indira Gandhi Award and Regional Rajbhasha Award over the years."
Col K G R Kumar, deputy general manager, Corporation Bank and member secretary, TOLIC reviewed the performance of all member offices on the basis of half-yearly reports submitted by them.
Narendra Singh, executive director, Corporation Bank presented the shields and certificates to the member organizations in recognition of their outstanding performance in the field of OL implementation for 2009-10. In his presidential address Singh lauded the member organizations and the award-winning members and emphasized on fulfilling the statutory obligations regarding official language.
Dr Ajaya Kumar, chief manager (OL), Corporation Bank proposed the vote of thanks.
