Udupi, Mar 17: The 'Shila Samarpana' for the new Kaup Marigudi temple will be laid on March 23 at 9:55 am, said the development committee president, Vasudev Shetty at a press meet. The donors should either deposit the amount at the temple counter or in the committee’s bank account, he said.

The programme will be held together with 99 devotees, Rs 999 has been fixed as the amount for the service and the devotees should try to donate it, requested the committee.

Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon will preside over the programme. Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje, member of Vidhan Sabha S L Bhojegowda, Kaup municipal council president, Anil Kumar, Udupi DC G Jagadeesha, new Marigudi development committee honorary president and former urban development minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake, district cooperative bank president, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, V K Group Mumbai managing director, K M Shetty will be the guests of honour.

Committee honorary president, Dr B R Shetty Bavuguthu, Sudhakar Hegde Tunga, Ravi Sunder Shetty Sai Palace, Prakash Shetty, M R G Group, Rajashekar Kotian, president Billava Mahamandala Mulki, Anil Ballal Kaup Beedu, committee honorary advisor and a large number of devotees will be present.

Organizing committee president, Ramesh Hegde, temple tantri Srinivas Tantri, new Marigudi development committee’s Dr Deviprasad Shetty, chief convenor, Yogish V Shetty, vice president, Gangadhar Suvarna, Madhava R Palan, Rathnakar Shetty, executive officer, Prasanna Kumar Shetty and others were present.
