Kasargod, Jul 14: Protesting against the refusal of the government college principal, Padmakumari, to admit 20 students recommended by the district sports council to the degree courses, activists of United Democratic Students Front (UDSF) laid siege to the office of the principal for about four and half hours on Tuesday July 13.
UDSF said that the principal had not given admissions to the said students, claiming that the college does not have facilities to accommodate them. The students, who held a protest march within the college campus in the morning, laid siege to the office of the principal from 10.30 am to 3 pm.
District convener of the campus wing of Muslim Students Federation, Anas, led the siege. Students of the Students Federation of India too took part in the protest.
