Mangaluru, Mar 13: Ullal station police personnel have registered abetment to suicide case against accused Yatin Raj in the Preksha death case.
Preksha (17), a college student who also was into modelling, was found hanging at her home in Kumpala Ashraya Colony on March 10.
Yatin Raj from Mundoly, and Saurabh from Ashraya Colony and Suhan were arrested regarding the case.
The operation against ganja peddling continued. Several people were taken into custody on Saturday in this connection.
It is alleged that Ganja drug addicts were the cause of Preksha’s death. A procession will be held against drug addiction from Kumpala Ashraya colony to Kumpala school grounds on Sunday March 14 at 7 am.
The procession will be held in the leadership of local groups and associations and women.
MLA Khader visits Preksha’s house
MLA U T Khader visited the residence of late Preksha and consoled her parents. He said that locals are hesitating to lodge police complaints with regard to ganja peddling.
Discussions should be held by high level officials with the colony residents to be courageous. I have spoken to the commissioner in this regard, he said.
