Mangalore, Jul 5: Two persons travelling on a motor bike died, and a person was injured, in an accident involving a lorry and a motor bike that occurred in front of Suratkal police station at around midnight on Saturday July 3. The deceased have been identified as Paresh Salian (26) and Yashwant (26), residents of Tadambail in Suratkal. Another person named Vikram (26) was admitted into a hospital here with serious injuries.
Reportedly, these three friends were moving towards Tadambail on their motor bike from Suratkal. It is said that the truck hit the motor bike while trying to overtake a vehicle. The two men lost their lives instantly.
Paresh, a former student of Vijaya College Mulky, worked as a field development officer for a finance company in Mangalore. Yashwant, a state level cricketer and a past student of Govinda Dasa College Suratkal, was a technician with Sony Ericsson in the city. Vikram reportedly worked for BSNL on part time basis.
Yashwant is survived by parents, four elder brothers and a sister. Paresh, on whom his family heavily depended on, is survived by a brother, a sister and parents.
