Puttur, Feb 25: In a tragic collision between two lorries that occurred at Kolpe, Kadaba, one of the lorry drivers lost his life. The incident took place on Thursday, February 25. 2 am on February 25

The driver of the lorry bearing the register number KA 25 B 5089 was reportedly driving recklessly all the way from Uppinangady to Bengaluru. Meanwhile, another lorry an Ashok Leyland Dost bearing the number KA 13 C 4725 was moving from Hassan to Uppinangady. As per sources, the latter was also driving in a negligent manner which led to the collision of both of the vehicles.

Chetan M V (22) who was driving the Ashok Leyland Dost suffered critical injuries in the collision. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved and he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

A police case under section 279 and 304(A) has been registered at Uppinangady police station in this connection.
