Mangalore, Jul 3: The legal heirs of the deceased passengers of the Air India Express flight that crashed at Bajpe airport on May 22 this year, have been asked to apply for the relief announced out of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, from July 5 onwards. The applications are to be submitted in the office of the deputy commissioner, Dakshina Kannada district.
Relief at the rate of two lac rupees each to the families of the 108 victims from the state has been released. The applications should accompany survival member’s certificate, documents regarding compensation given by Air India, two passport size photographs of the applicants, address proof, photographs of the deceased passenger, documents proving relationship of the deceased passenger with the claimant, certificate for having conducted funeral, marriage certificate, copy of the passport, copy of the ration card of the dependents, Name of the family member authorized to receive the interim relief, copy of the visa, preliminary inquest report of the body, death certificate of the passenger, employment card of the deceased passenger and any other supportive documents.
