Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 24: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported nine fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 34,350. Out of these, 203 cases are currently active.
A total of 5,60,460 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,26,110 are negative.
As many as 17 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,407.
A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.
Over 33,822 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 34,93,840 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,557, including seven fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 63 cases are currently active.
Over 3,61,742 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,38,185 have turned out negative.
As many as four patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,305.
A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
