Mangaluru, Feb 24: Vistadome coaches with attractively designed glass roofs, which have been recently introduced in the railways, are likely to be included in the Bengaluru-Mangaluru train.
A Vistadome coach sanctioned by the Indian Railways arrived at Bengaluru division of southwestern railway two days back. By March 15, it is likely to be attached to a railway engine and be available to serve the passengers.
Public relations officer of Bengaluru division, E Vijay, said that a decision about which train this Vistadome coach will be made a part of, has not yet been taken.
Vistadome coaches have 40 luxury seats which rotate 360 degrees. During the day, it provides more opportunities to enjoy the picturesque nature during the run.
The likelihood of this coach being made part of Mangaluru train is more because of the fact that the Subrahmanya-Sakleshpur stretch of the railway line provides a breath-taking view including ghat road, thick forests, falls and hills.
