Udupi, Feb 23: The admission test for the sixth standard in various residential schools that are functioning under Karnataka Residential Education Association will be held by the Karnataka examination authority on February 24 from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
192 students will write examinations at Government PU College, Kundapur and 144 students will appear at Government PU College, Udupi. The precautions that were taken during CET examinations will be observed during the examinations.
Two separate rooms are arranged for students suffering from fever, cough and cold. Wristwatches, mobile, calculator, log table and electronic instruments are banned in the examination rooms. Students will have to undergo thermal scanning before entering the centres.
Students will not be permitted to enter or exit after the third bell at 2.30 pm. A radius of up to 200 meter from examination rooms will be declared as a banned area and prohibitory orders under section 144(1) will be imposed stated pre-university education deputy director Bhagavanta Katteemani in a press release. The Xerox shops in the vicinity are ordered to be shut till the examinations get over.
The prohibitory orders will be in force from 8 am till 6 pm on February 24, stated a press release from the office of the deputy commissioner.
