Mangaluru, Feb 22: A day-long brainstorming innovation conclave will be held on February 24 at Hotel Ocean Pearl, informed Keonics chairman K Harikrishna Bantwal.
Addressing media here on Monday February 22, he said, “Deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan will inaugurate the innovation conclave, MP and chairman Mangaluru innovation conclave Nalin Kumar Kateel will deliver innovation address, additional chief secretary to chief minister Dr E V Ramana Reddy will deliver the keynote address and chairman centre for contemporary issues Steven David will deliver envisioning address.
“A brainstorming conclave with thought leaders from academia, industry and the government will take part and on we can work together. This conclave is a seeding process towards making Mangaluru as innovation hub for science and technology. The conclave will feature panel discussions and interactive sessions spread over the day leading to coming out with a Mangaluru declaration at the end of the conclave to follow up on the deliberations of the conclave.
“The conclave is also a tribute to Ramakrishna Baliga who visualized creation of many IT and tech cities beyond Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India. The Mangaluru conclave is a first step in that direction,” he said.
