Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 21: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 11 fresh coronavirus cases on Sunday raising the tally to 34,314. Out of these, 220 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,55,938 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,21,624 are negative.

As many as 28 people were discharged on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,354.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 33,429 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 34,54,790 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,524, including eight fresh cases on Sunday. Out of these, 51 cases are currently active.

Over 3,57,960 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,34,436 have turned out negative.

As many as six patients were discharged on Sunday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,284.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
