Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 19: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 20 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 34,286. Out of these, 240 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,52,917 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,18,631 are negative.

As many as 30 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,306.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 3,306 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 34,14,550 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,498, including 10 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 46 cases are currently active.

Over 3,55,511 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,32,013 have turned out negative.

As many as six patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,263.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
