Bengaluru, Feb 19: Vijayapura city MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, in a fresh offensive launched against B Y Vijayendra, son of the chief minister, B S Yediyurappa and state BJP vice president, alleged that Vijayendra had sent money to the Congress and the RJD in Bihar for defeating the BJP in that state. He further stated that this was done to cut down the eminence of Modi.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday February 18, Yatnal demanded inquiry into the election funds Vijayendra had provided to the RJD and the Congress in Bihar. He confessed that he had received notice from the party, and that he had already sent a reply in 11 pages letter. "I have explained in the letter about the way the government is earning a bad reputation because of Yediyurappa," he said. He also said that Modi wants that there should not be interference of family in the government but the government here is not sticking to this principle.

I have demanded investigation into the affairs of the family of Yediyurappa," he said. He revealed that he also has requested for investigation into corruption, family interference, and transfer business, duly clarifying that he has never sought any apology in his letter.
"I have also mentioned about the CD, ED, and Mauritius, duly explaining why he had visited Mauritius, how many had gone, by which flight, and what they did in Mauritius through the personal assistant of a former home minister. I have urged the party to hold detailed investigation," he said.

BJP state in-charge, Ariun Singh, said that Yatnal has been making such allegations since the last many years just to get media attention. He said that there is no need to assign any importance to his statements. To a question, he said there is nothing wrong in supporting Vijayendra, as he is the state BJP vice president. To another question, he said that leaders, MLAs, activists etc are all important for the party.
