Bantwal, Feb 19: In an incident which happened at Kaikamba, B C Road, on Thursday February 18, the owner of a shop dealing in burqas ended his life by hanging.
The shop in question is located at Kaikamba, B C Road. Abdul Rahman (36), who owns 'Liba's Burqua Shop' at Kaikamba, was the person who ended his life. He was a resident of Parlia near Kaikamba.
Abdul Rahman came to his shop on Thursday morning as per his routine. He hanged himself from a ceiling fan at the first floor of the shop, a complaint filed with the police said.
It is said that before going to the upper storey, Rahman asked the lady employed in his shop not to receive calls on his mobile phone. After sometime, it came to light that he had ended his life.
Reason for this drastic decision is not known. Locals said that for the last sometime, he was undergoing mental agony. Rahman has left behind a wife, two daughters and a son.
Bantwal town station police visited the spot, undertook inquest and registered a case. Post-mortem was performed at the government hospital in the town.
