Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 18: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 20 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 34,266. Out of these, 250 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,51,077 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,16,811 are negative.

As many as 19 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,276.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 33,010 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 34,14,550 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,494, including five fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 48 cases are currently active.

Over 3,54,173 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,30,679 have turned out negative.

As many as 14 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,257.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
