Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 17: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 25 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 34,246. Out of these, 249 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,49,211 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,14,965 are negative.

As many as 38 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,257.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 32,770 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 33,97,570 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,490, including six fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 58 cases are currently active.

Over 3,53,003 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,29,513 have turned out negative.

As many as 15 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,243.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
