Bengaluru, Feb 14: A young climate activist from the city has been arrested by the cyber cell of the Delhi police in connection with international teen climate activist Greta Thunberg's 'toolkit' case.
One of the founders of 'Fridays For Future' India campaign, Disha Ravi (21) was arrested from her residence in Soladevanahalli of the city by the Delhi police. She has been arrested on charges of sedition, criminal conspiracy and promoting hatred, and for sharing the toolkit on farmers' protest that was first posted by Greta on Twitter a few days ago.

This is the first arrest the Delhi police have made in the case. She was taken to Delhi by flight on Saturday February 13 evening, sources said.
Disha, who graduated in MBA from a prestigious college of the city, is working as a manager. Her father is an athletic coach in Mysuru and mother is a housewife.
Several international celebrities including American popstar Rihanna and Greta had tweeted in support of the farmers' protest that is taking place in Delhi. Greta Thunberg had posted a Google document which had a protest toolkit in addition to asking global support for the protest of farmers of India.
Soon after Greta's post, the Delhi police registered an FIR under IPC sections 124A and 153A. The police wrote a letter to Google and asked for more information on the toolkit, and Google agreed to cooperate.
According to police, the unfolding of events during farmers' protest around January 26, including violence near Red Fort, allegedly revealed copycat execution of the 'action plan' detailed in the toolkit.
The police said that the intention of the creators appeared to create disharmony among various social, religious and cultural groups and encourage disaffection and ill-will against the central government and aimed at waging social, cultural and economic war against India.
