Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 10: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 16 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 34,090. Out of these, 337 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,38,504 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,04,414 are negative.

As many as 22 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,013.

A total of 740 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 31,478 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 32,69,170 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,417, including five fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 44 cases are currently active.

Over 3,46,180 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,22,763 have turned out negative.

As many as 10 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,184.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
