Kaup: Lorry carrying empty LPG cylinders topples on highway

Kaup, Feb 4: In an incident which happened near Vijaya Bank's Pangala branch on national highway 66 on Thursday February 4 morning, a truck carrying empty LPG cylinders fell by its side.

The lorry was moving towards Mangaluru with a load of empty gas cylinders. After the driver lost control over the vehicle, its wheels hit the road divider, after which the truck fell on the highway.

The cylinders were scattered all along the highway. Luckily the accident and the fallen cylinders did not harm anyone. The driver and his assistant escaped unhurt.

Kaup police reached the spot and undertook investigation.

    To all LPG tanker trucks, governor compulsory install. That's only way to control. Most of the drivers are illiterate and uneducated.

    Some squids try to overtake trucks haphazardly with a crazy lane changing which makes driver to make hasty decision either to avoid hitting front.
