Mangaluru, Jan 31: Former national vice-president of Association of Consulting Civil Engineers Vijay Vishnu Mayya inaugurated auditions for 'Swara Kudla’ season 3 on Sunday, January 31 at BEM school hall Car Street, organized by Karavali Sangeetha Kalvidara Okkuta on the eve of 13th annual celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Vishnu Mayya said, "We need such association to encourage young budding singers. This competition will not be the end of your singing profession, but it is the beginning. Accept your failures and move forward towards success."
DySP Bantwal, Valentine D'Souza said, "The auditions for 'Swara Kudla' will serve as a platform for the participants to showcase their talents. Even I have witnessed failures in life, but the key is to keep working hard towards your goal. I urge the participants to make use of the opportunity they get through this auditions."
The DySP also showcased his talent for singing and completely enthralled the audience.
Prakash Mahadevan, Dinesh Kinnigoli and Shinoy will be the judges for the auditions.
BEM Educational Institutions correspondent, Rohan Siri, circle inspector Barke police station Jyothirlinga Honnakatte, corporators Zeenath Shamshuddin Jayashree Kudva, Karavali Sangeetha Kalvidara Okkuta president, Mohammed Iqbal, vice president, Mallika Shetty, treasurer, Ivan D'Souza and general secretary, Ramesh Salian were present.
Advisor, Tonse Pushkala Kumar compered the program.
The semifinal and finals of 'Swara Kudla' season 3 will be conducted on February 10 at Town Hall where the association will celebrate its 13th annual program. Renowned sitarist Ustad Rafiq Khan will inaugurate the annual program on February 10. Traffic ACP M A Natrajan, proprietor, Symphony music instrument Loy Noronha, corporator, Abdul Lateef, proprietor, AQC cruise Charan Das V Karkera, Chittaranjan Bolar, founder president of Talent Research Foundation, Abdul Rauf Putthige, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar, police commissioner, N Shashi Kumar, MCC opposition leader Abdul Rauf, managing director, Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd Walter Nandalike, director Daijiworld media Lawrence D Souza, corporator, Praveen Chandra Alva and others will be present.
During the annual program, achievers will be felicitated, among them are renowned Konkani singer Meena Gracia Rebimbus, singer, guitarist, drummer, Ganesh Kumar and 'Junior Mohammed Rafi' fame Khalid Akhtar P A.
The formal function will be followed by a cultural program by the winner of Swara Kudla competition and by the Karavali Sangeetha Kalvidara Okkuta members.
