Bantwal, Jan 30: The Veera Vikrama Jodukare Kambala that has several years of history in the district has special religious significance and the blessing of the deity, said Poonja temple’s Asranna Krishnaprasad Acharya.
He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Veera-Vikrama’ Jodukare Kambala at Hokkadigoli near Siddakatte on Saturday January 30.
Kambala committee president Nonal Guthu Rashmit Shetty Kaithrodi presided over the programme.
Dr Sudeep Kumar Jain said that Kambala sport is part of Tulunadu culture.
