Saina Wins Singapore Open

Singapore, Jun 20 (IANS): India's top shuttler Saina Nehwal beat Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 21-15 to win the Singapore Open Super Series badminton tournament here Sunday.

This is Saina's second Super series title since winning last year's Indonesian Open, which she will be defending next week.

Top seeded Saina, ranked sixth in the world, had been in irresistible form in the tournament and had upset world champion Lu lan of China in the semifinals.

In the title clash Sunday, Saina was given a tough challenge by the unseeded 16-year-old Tzu Ying Tai before the Indian, relying on her experience, tamed her.

    Abdulla Madumoole, Abu Dhabi..please don't go for her sex-appeal..just look at her game how she is playing.. congrats saina...our country is dealing with import/export business... sonia gandhi is imported...and simulatenously sania mirza is exported.... but good gal 'saina' will remain in india itself.. Jai Ho..dil ko dekho chahra na dekho..chahrone public ko loota..

    Congratulations. Saina is winning so many matches but she is not getting enough media glare.Is it because she doesn' have that sex appeal what Sania Mirza has? Very unfair I feel.
