Vijayapura, Jan 28: Local MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, launched another bout of tirade against chief minister B S Yediyurappa, by saying that the BJP's image has suffered extensively because of the portfolio distribution and redistribution exercise.
Speaking on Wednesday, he said that Madhuswamy is an able minister who solidly faced the anti-government forces in the assembly and took on Shivakumar in the previous session and forced him to sit quiet. "Unfortunately, our chief minister tends to undermine anyone who derides D K Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah, and Zameer Ahmed Khan. Because they are all partners, and because of this coterie, things are happening in a weird way," he claimed.
In a new prediction, Yatnal said that time will change with the ministry expansion and portfolio redistribution and things will reach to logical conclusions by Ugadi festival.
Responding to an internal inquiry proposed to be held against him, he said he is not worried of anyone and invited officials to probe him. He said he forces officials to work, and he never takes money from them. He appreciated the new deputy commissioner of Vijayapura and superintendent of police. He said that intelligence officers are following him, and that he is not involved with corruption nor he has any illegal property and hence he is unperturbed.
About change in the district in-charge minister, he said he is open for everything. He stated that he has not received any notice about violating party discipline. In another salvo fired at Vijayendra, he expressed the feeling that Vijayendra, son of the chief minister, would have told the party leaders to inform the media about the disciplinary inquiry. "If the notice comes, I will inform the media," he said.
