Mangaluru, Jan 25: Opposing the recent anti-Hindu incidents, VHP divisional secretary Sharan Pumpwell maintained that there is a conspiracy to 'Islamize India.' "Damage to the Hindu places of worship is a part of the process of Islamization of India. There are attempts to destabilize Hindus by 'Love Jihad and Land Jihad'. Not only Hindu organizations but the entire Hindu community should unite and protest against them," he added.
He was speaking in the protest meeting held in Thokkottu bus stand. The meeting was organised by VHP and Bajrang Dal opposing the anti-Hindu incidents and alleged plans to malign the sanctity of Hindu temples in Ullal.
"There are attempts to convert Dakshina Kannada district as a laboratory for the fanatic forces to attack Hindus. The incidents against Hindus have originated in the district and later spread to other parts of the state. After a Hindu leader was killed in the district, reports of murders of other Hindu leaders in the state surfaced. A commotion is created across social media, police stations when some other religion is under attack. But, nothing is said when there are anti-Hindu incidents," he said.
"Now that Ayodhya is free, we will also liberate Kashi and Mathura," he said.
Bajrang Dal divisional convener Bhujanga Kulal stressed that the police should be prepared to nab those responsible for damaging places of worship. "Bajrang Dal members will soon start to brandish swords. Dakshina Kannada is a strong fort of Hindus and it looks like some have underestimated the power of Koragajja deity," he said.
Addressing the gathering, Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math said, "Mangaluru MLA should go around Ullal instead of visiting Bengaluru."
"Riaz Farangipete has only won two seats. He should prove himself by winning seats in constituencies where Hindus are in majority. His party principles have no meaning. He should be wise enough to not interfere in the affairs of other religions," he said.
Bajrang Dal convener Guru Ullalbail welcomed and introduced the gathering. Arjun Madoor compered the programme.
Deepak Bijaguri rendered a vote of thanks.
