Mangaluru, Jan 23: After some miscreants dropped objectionable materials into offering boxes of ‘Daivasthanas’ in the city, police commissioner N Shashi Kumar on Saturday January 23, appealed to people to share information regarding untoward incidents in police commissionerate limits.
In a video message, he said, "It has come to our notice that recently, some objectionable items and writings were found in the offering boxes of religious centres. Cases have been registered on the same. We have decided to stop such untoward incidents and we will trace the accused in the reported cases. Irrespective of religious centres, authorities concerned should install CCTV cameras or deploy adequate security at religious centres as precautionary measures."

Name of the city will be spoiled due to such acts of miscreants. Hence, such incidents should not occur. So people should share the information of such incidents.”
He also said that the identity of the informers will be kept confidential as it will be handled personally by him.
