Puttur, Jan 20: Union minister for chemicals and fertilisers, D V Sadananda Gowda (DVS), warned again that unless MLA, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, stops openly speaking against the party and its leaders, the central disciplinary committee of the party is sure to act against him.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, January 19, Gowda recalled that when the former was the state BJP president, Yatnal had shot off his mouth. "He did not mend his ways even after repeated warnings. Therefore, I had expelled him from the party. Now again he has been behaving in a similar way. The leaders are aware that he is doing so in an effort to bully them and bag a cabinet berth," he explained.
He recalled that Yatnal was a minister in the government headed by Vajpayee. "Such behaviour does not behove of a senior leader like Yatnal. If he has any disgruntlement, he should raise the same in the party forms and not in public. There is nothing wrong if state leaders visit Delhi and meet central leaders. But the party will never tolerate public criticism," he warned.
