Udupi, Jan 18: Chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa will be on two-day visit to Udupi district from Monday January 18.
Yediyurappa will arrive on Monday at 3 pm at Adi Udupi helipad. He will attend the 500 year celebration of Paryaya at Rajangana Udupi on the same day.
Addressing media about the CM’s visit, Govindraj, manager, Sri Krishna Math said, "CM Yediyurappa will inaugurate ‘Vishwapata’, the new entrance way for Sri Krishna Darshana. At 5:15 pm, he will have Sri Krishna Darshana and then take part in the 500 year celebrations of the Paryaya tradition."
At 6:30 pm on the same day, the CM will attend the Brahmakalashotsava of Karamballi Venkataraman temple.
Speaking about the CM’s minister visit to Moktestara Karamballi Venkataraman temple, MLA Raghupati Bhat said, "As part of his tour to Udupi, the CM will also take part in the Brahmakalashotsava celebrations of Karamballi Venkataramana temple. He will take part in the religious meet later. Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje, minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, and Shri Shri Vidyadeeshatheertha Swamiji of Palimar Math will participate in the religious meet,” he said.
On Tuesday January 19, the CM will visit Uchila Mahalakshmi temple. He will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hejamady Kodi fishing port. He will also visit Aanegudde temple and then return to New Meridian helipad in Koteshwara.
