Panaji: CM urges travellers to undergo COVID test voluntarily

Panaji, Dec 26: Goan chief minister (CM), Pramod Sawant, urged those who have come to Goa from the United Kingdom to voluntarily undergo COVID (RT-PCR) test. He has also asked them to stay in isolation till the results are received.

He said that the government has begun the task of identifying those who came from the UK as they have to mandatorily undergo the above test. He, however, hastened to add that the government has not taken any decision to impose a night curfew in the state.

He said that even when the results are negative, they are advised to remain in isolation. He added that the government is monitoring the passengers who came from the UK during the last six days. He said that undergoing the above tests is in their interest and also that of Goa.
