Bantwal: Robbers break into house, loot gold ornaments after assaulting home-alone woman

Bantwal, Dec 25: A gang of robbers broke into a house in Kanathadka, Vittal here on Friday December 25 and robbed gold ornaments after tying up and assaulting a woman occupant.

The robbery took place at a house located in front of Kanathadka Jumma Masjid, where an auto-driver identified as Rafeeq and his family stay on rent.

It is learnt that Rafeeq along with his ten-year-old-son had been to the mosque to perform prayers on Friday afternoon, leaving his wife Zainaba alone at home.

The miscreants who gathered the information, barged into the house and after attacking Zainaba and tying her up, robbed gold ornaments. Though there are several houses in the vicinity, no one noticed the incident, it is said.

The incident came to light after her husband and son returned from the mosque.

Vittal police who visited the spot have registered a case.

    It must be known people who did this.One who knows there is something to steal and pays,know the daily routine of person s must have waited.But bit abnormal is neighbours didnt hear, notice it.Does the wife self has some thing to do ?when one is unemployed doesnt mean should do theft.Instead go and sit at road side and beg.or go and work in fields.Only who has no humanity does it ,fall on women ,steal .shame on them.why keep gold at home?

    Nowadays it has become a trend,mainly due to unemployment and deteriorating financial condition of the people.They are forced to resort this type of activities,looting and robbery for their very survival I believe.But there are professional robbers are there,which we can not make it out.
    We can expect more such robberies in the coming days and cannot trust anyone.All are looking like known people but inside their mind something crookedness is going on and evaluate the situations by sitting only and one day they will take an opportunity by barging into the house when the single person is alone in the house.
    Very bad situation prevailing at present
