Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 24: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 20 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 32,693. Out of these, 408 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,44,245 samples have been tested. Out of which, 4,11,552 are negative.

As many as 27 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,553.

A total of 732 deaths have occured so far.

Over 18,100 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 19,31,184 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,990, including seven fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 74 cases are currently active.

Over 2,77,120 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,54,130 have turned out negative.

As many as seven patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,728.

A total of 188 deaths have occured so far.
