Mangaluru, Nov 28: The 12th Graduation Day ceremony of St Aloysius Institute of Education was held at the college auditorium on Saturday November 28.
As many as 48 graduates received their graduation certificates on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Prof P L Dharma, registrar evaluation, Mangalore University said, "I congratulate all the graduates. From the last two months, we have been living a careful life and have started to think very differently and creatively. A tiny virus transformed our lifestyle completely and the way we were living in the past is not the same anymore.
"The New Education Policy 2020, emphasis on Athmanirbhar, which will help students to lead a dignified life,” he said.
He also opined that the Vedas give him spirit and teach him not to depend on anyone.
"Try to be happy and be wonderful teachers. Nothing can replace the happiness derived from a well-prepared lecture and nobody can replace a wonderful teacher," he added.
College director Fr Dr Praveen Martis said, "I congratulate all the graduates. I have seen a lot of progress among students, compared to last year. By taking part in several activities, a lot of positive energy is in you."
Rector of St Aloysius institutions, Fr Melwyn Pinto said, "There is a need of teachers who are creative, passionate and also who love their profession.”
Meanwhile, dignitaries released the newsletter of St Aloysius Institute of Education.
Principal Dr Farita Veigas welcomed the gathering.
President of student cabinet Lavina Kunder rendered the vote of thanks and Sushmitha Rachael Pinto compered the programme.
Coordinators Sandhya and Sarika R were also present.
