Puttur, Nov 28: Young talent of coastal region, Prithvi Alva, is chosen to represent India in the ‘Miss Tourism International’ beauty pageant that is scheduled to take place in October 2021.
Prithvi was trained in modelling by Ritika Ramzi of Tiara Pageant studio of Pune. She got selected in the online audition that took place for the selection of contestants for the pageant and won the same. She is the only contestant to have got selected from India.
Prithvi Alva is the daughter of Pavithra J Alva of Parari Guthu of Perabe and Jagadish Alva of Sujeer Guthu. She completed her education in the Jawahar Navodaya institute at Mudipu. Currently, she is pursuing her third year in MBBS from Srinivas Institute of Medical Science and Research centre at Mukka.
Apart from modelling, Prithvi Alva is an ace athlete too. She represented Karnataka in high jump competition at the age of 15. In addition, she has also taken part in NCC Republic Day parade in Delhi in 2015.
This pageant is conducted by D Touch International Foundation every year. More than 60 countries are members of this foundation. This beauty contest was held in India in 2001 and 2008. So far, two Indians have won the ‘Miss Tourism International’ title.
