Mangaluru, Nov 26: As there has been a flurry of activities behind-the-scene the backdrop of expectation of the ministry expansion, permutations and combinations about the chances of legislators from coastal Karnataka getting elevated as ministry are hotly discussed. As the things are going now, the likelihood of dropping one minister from the twin-districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, and accommodating two in the ministry appears to be strong.
Fisheries and muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, who also happens to be the in-charge minister for Dakshina Kannada district, is likely to be accommodated as the chairman of the legislative council.
The BJP, which has 31 members in the council, is reportedly planning to oust the current chairman Prathapchandra Shetty, with the support of the JD(S) which has 13 members in the council.
