Mumbai, May 9: Devadiga Pathological Laboratory, a memorial to Dr Amita Dilip Rangekar, was inaugurated at Panchasheel Apartment, Matunga Labour Camp, on Sunday May 9.
 
Renowned surgeon and social worker Dr Dilip M Rangekar inaugurated the laboratory promoted by metro-based Devadiga Sangh.
 
Dr Rangekar, after inaugurating the laboratory, said that healthy living should be everyone’s concern.

 “In order to achieve something worthwhile in life, one needs to be health conscious and take precautions if major illnesses are identified after diagnosis”, he added.
 
Vasu S Devadiga, vice-president, Devadiga Sangh, presided over the programme.
 
MLC Prof Jogender Kavde and renowned educational expert Dr Kamal Patankar were the chief guests on the occasion.
 
Vasu Devadiga said that providing health care services to ordinary people in the society is a humanitarian deed. 

“The objectives of the laboratory will be realized if the needy benefit from the health care services at the laboratory”, he added. 
 
Devadiga Sangh former president and executive president of building committee Gopal M Moily, honorary joint secretary Sundar C Moily, honorary joint treasurers Vishwanth B Devadiga and Padmanabha A Devadiga, advisors Hiriyadka Mohandas, Ramesh Ullal, S S Rao, social welfare committee executive president Pushpa S Rao, Medical Guidance Center promoter Dr Rekha C Devadiga, Janardhan Serigar, Dr Rekha Chandrashekar, Anand C Serigar, B P Suresh, P S Moily, Laxman D Rao, Srinivas V Marmaran, and pathological laboratory medical officer Dr Bharat Ghodke were present.
 
Dr Rekha Chandrashekar welcomed the gathering.  Sundar C Moily proposed the vote of thanks and Ramesh Ullal compered the programme.
