Kasargod, Nov 14: In a tragic incident that occurred at Kubanoor near Bandyodu of Uppala in the district, a pedestrian was suddenly attacked by a wild boar. He died in the hospital in Mangaluru.
This incident took place around 6 am on Saturday November 14 near Kubanoor school. The deceased is identified as Rajesh (41), a resident of Kubanoor. Rajesh was a centering labourer and was going to work as usual. A wild boar which approached from the nearby forest, hit Rajesh and knocked him down. Then the wild boar pierced his neck with its tusk which caused profuse bleeding. Though the locals took the severely injured Rajesh to hospital in Mangaluru, he succumbed to his injuries.
Rajesh is the son of former member of Mangalpady gram panchayat Babu and late Kalyani. He was married to Subhashini and had become the father of a baby just a month ago. It is learnt that just a week ago, the cradling ceremony of the baby had taken place in their house.
The deceased is survived by brothers Narayana, Rukmakara and sister Nalini. The post mortem of the mortal remains was conducted in Mangaluru.
