Most awaited Tulu movie 'Pepperere Pererere' to release on OTT on Dec 18

Mangaluru, Nov 6: 'Athala Vithala Shoora Marwai Maga Deera', an experimental song with ‘unintelligible’ lyrics from the film 'Pepperere Pererere' which mesmerized several music lovers and rocked Coastalwood, is now getting ready to be screened on OTT platform (An over-the-top media service is a streaming media service offered directly to viewers via the internet) on December 18.

This experimental song 'Athala Vithala Shoora Marwai Maga Deera’ is written by Tulu comedian Umesh Mijar, sung by Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and music composed by Guru Bayar, has gained over 45 lac views through various platforms.

It is said that in the history of Coastalwood film industry, 'Pepperere Pererere' is first film to be screened via OTT platform.

Nishan Varun Movies, with intent to deliver Tulu language cinema to the Tulu cinema lovers, across the world, has planned to screen the movie via OTT platform, so that the movie would reach maximum number of audience globally.

According to the producer Nishan, 'Pepperere Pererere' comprises 90% of comedy, 5% thrill and 5% suspense. “To watch movie audiences can book ticked through https://www.nishanvarunmovies.com by paying Rs 249. If a person book ticket he/she will receive a greeting and referral link through SMS. If the same person sends same link to 10 other persons and if they book ticket, the amount Rs 249 will be refunded to his account,” Nishan said.

During Covid-19 pandemic, entire family can watch this movie for Rs 249 by connecting to their TV. Going to theatre for a movie would cost at least Rs 2,000 to a family. More than, 75 artistes have acted in the movie. The movie has four songs and produced using approximately Rs 90 lac.

Coastalwood superstars Devdas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sathish Bandale, Saikrishna, J P Thuminad and others are in the film. Chaitra Shetty is the female lead. Shobharaj Pavoor has directed the movie and also featured in an important role. Guru Bayar has provided music.

The film was shot at Yekkur and surrounding places.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, director Shobaraj Pavoor said, “The film has been made using maximum number of comedians of Tulu theatre and film industry. Regarding the quality we have not comprised in anyway. The team has dedicated to give the best output to the audience.”
