Sawant to break ice with youth with 'Coffee with CM' series

Panaji, Nov 2 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will take a cue from Karan Johar's popular 'Koffee with Karan' chat show with the BJP in Goa prepping up for a 'Coffee with CM' series in different parts of the state, where the CM is expected to hear and address the grievances of the youth.

Speaking at a function organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha here, Sawant said the state government would also advertise between 8,000 and 10,000 government jobs to tide over the unemployment crisis in the state.

"In association with the party, we will be starting a 'Coffee with CM' programme. I will be travelling to all the talukas (sub-districts) to address the grievances of the youth. The BJP government is a government of the youth, of the farmers and of the common man," Sawant said.

The Chief Minister also said that he is aware of the paucity of employment in the state.

"There are a lot of problems related to the youth, including employment. I know that unemployment is an issue which is prevalent in Goa. But we are not scared. Over the next year, 8,000 to 10,000 government jobs will be advertised and filled," the Chief Minister said.

On Saturday, Sawant had urged the local youth to not rely on government jobs alone, by saying that even if God became the Chief Minister of the state, he would not be able to provide government jobs to everyone.
