Udupi: Act of charity - Head teacher gifts house to financially poor student on his retirement day

Udupi, Nov 1: Head teacher of a school in the district showed humanity and philanthropy of the highest order by gifting a house, on his retirement day, to the financially poor student, who was studying in his school.

Murali Kadekar, head teacher of Nittur high school in the district is the Good Samaritan, who has shown exemplary act of humanity. The house was handed over to student Nayana in the presence of Palimar Math seer Vidyadheesha Sree at Kakkunje on Saturday October 31.

Murali had worked as a teacher in Nittur school for the past 32 years and got promoted as head teacher five years ago.

Murali was moved by the plight of the financially poor student Nayana, belonging to the Koraga community and studying in ninth standard of the school and got a small house built for her family at a cost of Rs 3.5 lac.

"I have got a house built for Nayana, who was living in thatched house, with the intention that my retirement day should be special. I have always used a part of my earnings for the education of financially poor students. In future also I will continue my pro-society works," said an elated Murali.

    A Pearl in sand should say.Hats off Sir.nowadays who will do this for a poor student.This remembers me of my hard days one who helped me .Sadly he is no more.Pray his soul may rest in Peace.Apart from this ,I see here many people stay ,without wearing masks ,without keeping the needed distance.why noone control this?day by day people are getting sick with corona very fast .Mostly men even guru?half mask?

    This is called helping by real... Good that he did not use the amount to build memoirs, bus stands, marriage halls etc etc.. for just name sake... hope we get such many people in society who can help people who are in need... I have seen many rich people donating huge amount to temple, mosque or church buildings, or for some marriage halls or some bhavanas.. etc... waste of money and just to be famous they donate.. there are so many needy who do not have even house to live in.. why cant that money be used for such poor community...

    Murali Sir has won everybody's heart. I don't know him. If I get a chance to meet him, I wish to touch his feet. The Karnataka govt and the social organization's should bestow upon him rewards for his selfless service. He deserves all appreciation.
