Udupi, Oct 13: Under revenue services, Udupi district has been performing at the top of the state by quickly disposing of applications received from the general public. It has held this position consistently for a year.
In September too, the district has stayed in the forefront by securing 64.4 marks. Mutation of undisputed land, mutation without notice, mutation of undisputed land with mutation, affidavit-based land conversion, revenue courts, DC court, RTC issues, quick disposal etc have helped the district to retain its position.
Under revenue services, Davanagere with 41.9 points, Tumakuru with 35.6, Chikkamagaluru with 35.1, and Raichur with 34.8, have been trailing Udupi district. State chief secretary T M Vijay Bhaskar, has praised the deputy commissioner, revenue officers and staff for this feat.
The deputy commissioner of Udupi G Jagadeesha said that since he took charge of the district, special care was taken to address revenue department issues as fast as possible. He said daily reports about lending applications were received and appreciated the tahsildar assistant commissioner, revenue inspectors, village accountants and others for helping the district to earn this recognition.
