Udupi, Apr 20: Manipal Centre for Information Science (MCIS), a constituent college of Manipal University (MU), will conduct its second annual event, National Conference on Information Sciences - 2010 from Friday April 23 to Saturday April 24.
The national conference will be held on three domains of MCIS strengths, HealthCare IT, VLSI CAD and Embedded Systems. The objective of the conference is to bring together the scholars from diverse areas of information sciences, in order to discuss common research interests and future trends. The conference intends to be an effective forum for exchange of ideas and discussion of current research in the field of information sciences.
Research Scholars, undergraduates, post graduates and faculty members from various parts of India will be participating in the colloquium. Apart from paper presentations, there will be keynote address and invited talks from renowned people from industries.
The keynote address will be delivered by S L N Murthy – chief technology officer of Tessolve Services Private Limited and the invited talk from Sunil H R, director of software group - Saankhya Labs, Harish Krishnan, manager Algorithms, Saankhya Labs and Mayank Singhal, director of Technology, WhizChip Design Technologies.
The inaugural function will be held at AC seminar Hall, MIT, Manipal on Friday at 9 am. Dr Gopalakrishna Prabhu K, registrar of MU, will preside over the function. Brigadier Dr Somnath Mishra, director of MIT, will be the guest of honour. Balaji B and Madhushankar M are the coordinators of the conference.
