Udupi, Oct 10: “The country is facing strange circumstances. Nobody had imagined that we would have to live wearing masks. China had not informed the world that the virus was found there. The statistics of how many people have died there is still not announced. China had kept the media under its control. Other countries in the world had the wrong notion about India. But our government at the centre successfully managed Covid,” said Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje.

Inaugurating a special meeting of district BJP executives in Town Hall, Ajjarkadu today, she said that the World Health Organization also had assumed that many people were dying in India. “It would have been impossible for anybody other than Modi to manage the situation. He has felt sad to impose lock down. But nothing can remain hidden in India. The details of Covid are being uploaded to everybody online,” she said.

“Udupi is well equipped to provide medical facilities. Modi had taken several important decisions during lock down. Modi is a political sage. He has been in politics for the last 20 years without a blot. The sorting out of the legal case of Ram Mandir, Jammu Kashmir land friction and Triple talak are some of the achievements.”

“Hindus were not living like Hindus in the country. Conversion or deaths were the only options. Young girls were being raped. Muslims were living like beggars without facilities. CAABL has given them citizenship. The actions on the border take place as told by soldiers,” she said.
