Kasargod, Oct 10: A youth damaged a police vehicle and hospital goods under the influence of ganja. Police had to struggle hard to bring him under control.
The incident happened in Kasargod general hospital on Saturday October 10. The arrested youth has been identified as Uduma resident Abdul Nasser. He had entered a hotel in Uduma on Friday morning, brandished a revolver to the watchman and conducted noisy disturbances.
He had fled from the hotel later. Bekal police station personnel went through CCTV footage and arrested him from his residence. He has again caused an uproar when brought to Kasargod general hospital for medical examination.
He climbed a police vehicle and smashed Beacon lights. He later hurled glass pieces from the police vehicle showing his prowess. He also damaged hospital windows, doors and buckets in the toilet. He was finally taken into custody after sometime and shifted to Bekal police station.
He was holding a deadly weapon. Cases of threatening to kill and damage to public property were registered against him.
Police had arrested him in the past relating to drug peddling. He is accused of a shooting incident towards a youth at Kotikulam near Bekal on June 25, 2018. He was arrested in the case.
