Kasargod: Car rams into wall - Health officer dies, six others including doctor injured

Kasargod, Oct 9: After a car lost control and hit a concrete wall on the side of the road, a health officer lost his life. Six people including a doctor suffered injuries in this mishap. The accident happened at Nileshwar Karuvachery curve on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Thrissur resident Paul Gletto L Meroki, a Bedadka taluk hospital health inspector.

Junior health inspector Pradeep, hospital assistant surgeon Dr Dinu Gagan, mother of Dinu and two children who were in the car are among those who have been injured in the accident. The injured were shifted to Kannur Medical College Hospital.

Material for carrying out the works at Nileshwar Karuvachery bridge was brought and piled up. The car had hit a concrete wall that was a part of it which caused the accident.
