The persons arrested now have been identified as Irfan Nasir (33) from Frazer Town here, and Ahmed Abdul Khader (40) from Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. Khader was earlier working as business analyst for a bank while Irfan Nasir was engaged in the sale of rice at Frazer Town. Some spots in Gurappanapalya and Frazer Town belonging to these persons were searched by the officials on October 7 and some incriminating documents and electronic equipment were seized. NIA sources said that both of them were produced in the special NIA court and taken into custody for ten days for further questioning.
A doctor by profession, Dr Abdul Rehman alias Dr Brave had been arrested last month on the charge of developing a mobile app to treat injured terrorists, and also for being a medical counsellor for the ISIS. During his interrogation, information of the two persons now arrested came out, NIA officials said. Dr Abdul Rehman reportedly also revealed about the terrorists who left for Syria in 2013-14 and ISIS members who are native of the city. For sending the people who are brainwashed to work for ISIS, these people not only used their own money but also collected funds from the donors. Abdul Rehman already had visited Syria once. For that trip, this duo had provided finance. A few who got money from them have already gone to Syria and joined the ISIS. Two among them have already died there, NIA said. NIA also revealed that investigation about a huge plan to undertake destructive activities is in progress now.
